Play In A Day

This Play in a Day is for up to 35 KS2 or 3 pupils. The pupils will work with a facilitator throughout the day and have the opportunity to share a short performance to an audience of their choice at the end of the day.

Ancient Greece; the Cradle of Civilisation. Where men were men but no one dared argue with the women of Sparta

Ancient Greece is home to the greatest thinkers, philosophers, writers and athletes of the day. Meet Alexander the Great, the young general who sulks if he doesn't get his own way, Herodotus the Historian (who thinks he's John Travolta) and Archimedes the mathematician who discovers displacement theory and accidentally invents streaking. This is a fun-filled ride through the age of classical Greece as you've never seen it before.

Will anyone heed poor Cassandra? Will Pandora open the box? Will our hero escape the snake haired Medusa? Hang on; the Chorus would like a show of hands, please…

"The children were absolutely buzzing about their experience. It has boosted their confidence and injected a bit of fun into their History learning. The hands-on experience has given them loads of inspiration for writing. The lower school really enjoyed our performance at the end. Showing it to Years 1-3, rather than to parents, gave a larger audience for Year 6 and also allowed siblings to enjoy the show" (School in Essex).
