Play In A Day
Macbeth Konflux Theatre

This Play in a Day is for up to 35 upper KS2 or 3 pupils. The pupils will work with a facilitator throughout the day and have the opportunity to share a short performance to an audience of their choice at the end of the day.

"Double, double, toil and trouble, Fire burn and cauldron bubble…"

A potted production of Shakespeare's tale of murder and the supernatural. Scotland is facing a rebellion which the King's greatest General, Macbeth, crushes. After the battle he meets three witches who predict his rise to the throne... but following their predictions leads to his own downfall. This play is dramatic, fun and contains every key plot point.

We recommend some prior knowledge or introduction to Shakespeare or the chosen title for any class undertaking a Shakespeare Play in a Day®. Due to the nature of the piece this particular topic is only availble to Year 6 or strong Year 5 classes.

"Konflux Theatre worked brilliantly with my Year 6 class to produce a super Macbeth play, it was amazing what could be achieved in just one day! The children were engaged and active throughout and loved the opportunity to demonstrate what they knew about Macbeth and bring the characters to life. The workshop allowed children, who were previously dreading the day, to shine and helped build their confidence and self-esteem. We were all sad when the day came to an end!"(School in Halifax)
