Play In A Day
Peace of Mind Mental Health Awareness Week Konflux Theatre

This Play in a Day is for up to 35 KS2 or 3 pupils. The pupils will work with a facilitator throughout the day and have the opportunity to share a short performance to an audience of their choice at the end of the day.

What is Mental Health? It's not something we should be ashamed to talk about!

1 in 4 adults are affected by mental illness in one way or another throughout their lives and around one in ten children experience mental health problems.  .

This Play in a Day explores:

  • Mental Health
  • How, who and where to get support
  • Supporting another person with a mental illness
  • Emotional triggers

Depression, loneliness, stress, anxiety - remember you are not alone!

"Our class feel more at ease talking about mental health and hopefully the mindfulness session will give the class some strategies for dealing with stress.I couldn't recommend these workshops more highly" (Skelton Primary School).

“I learnt how to deal with mental illness.” (Y5), “I learnt that mental illness affects family members as well as the person who is ill.” (Y6), “Don’t be ashamed that somebody you know has it.” (Y5), “I learnt about neurons in the brain (Y4)"
(School in Gloucester).

Peace of Mind would be ideal to highlight Children's Mental Health Week in February or Mental Health Awareness Week in May!
