Play In A Day
Stories from Major Religions konflux theatre

This Play in a Day is for up to 35 KS2 or 3 pupils. The pupils will work with a facilitator throughout the day and have the opportunity to share a short performance to an audience of their choice at the end of the day.

Students learn about the importance of Destiny & Forgiveness from Buddah through looking at similarities between Hinduism, Judaism, Islam and Christianity. An interpretation of a Buddhist fable demonstrating changing destiny through your actions.

Each story is told by the whole group and the focus of the day is on the value of learning aspects of others' faith so that we can acknowledge the similarities, and be respectful of the differences in what we all believe. The play has been written to offer stimulus for follow-up work in the classroom and provide a basic grounding across the key stages.

"I was blown away by the performance at the end of the day! The children had such an enjoyable experience, developed in confidence and learnt lots too about ‘Stories from world religions" (School in Coventry).

“The children learned the play very quickly and delivered a stellar performance. They included the content of all the religions they had been learning about and everyone was included. Overall, an excellent experience“ (School in London).
